Animacam, guest festival for the FIC Verín 2018
Animacam it has turned out to be a guest animation festival, for the International Short Film Festival of Verín 2018, (FIC VIA XIV) http://ficviaxiv.com/es/.
For that reason, the members of the organization of that Festival, have selected the following 10 films finalists in the last VI edition of Animacam 2017:
AMELIA&DUARTE (Mónica Santos, Alice Guimarâes –Portugal-Germany), BANGO VASIL (Milen Vitanov –Bulgaria-Germany), BAT TIME (Elena Walf -Germany), GRANDMA´S HERO (Corentin Monnier, Ben Ozeri -Denmark), GROUNDED (Lucas Durkheim -French), I SAID I WOULD NEVER TALK ABOUT POLITICS (Aitor Oñederra –Spain), THE INVISIBLE ELEPHANT (Anastasiya Sokolova -Russia), PERCHED (Liam Harris – United Kingdom), THE EDGE (Alexandra Averyanova -Russia), MECHANICAL WALTZ (Julien Dickman´s -Belgium).
The young FIC Festival VIA XIV, that will pass in Verín from the 1 to the 9 of December of 2018, has as main symbol of all its acts the “CIGARRÓN”, emblematic and exclusive character of the Carnival of Verín, the small host city of the festival.
Thus, the future prize given by public vote, to the best film of among the 10 selected of Animacam 2017, will be a unique and exclusive work of art, handmade with noble materials, by a local craftsman: a mask of “CIGARRÓN”, of extraordinary intangible value.
The film grandma’s HERO, by Ben Ozeri and Corentin Monnier, winner of the Audience Award, invited Animacam Festival, in FICVERIN 2018.
